Louisiana Department Of Wildlife Confirms Most Aggressive Animal In State Remains The Boat Launch Parking Lot Dad

BATON ROUGE, LA – After years of field observations, biological studies, and countless weekends spent at public boat launches, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has officially confirmed that the most aggressive animal native to Louisiana is not the alligator, wild hog, or cottonmouth snake.

It is, in fact, the boat launch parking lot dad.

The agency’s report cites dozens of documented behaviors including excessive sighing, unsolicited backing instructions, shouting “YOU’RE TOO FAR LEFT” from over 100 yards away, and becoming visibly enraged when a boat trailer occupies the launch for longer than 37 seconds.

Researchers noted that the species is most active between sunrise and 9 a.m. on Saturdays and can often be identified by wraparound sunglasses, a faded fishing tournament shirt, and an overwhelming confidence in everyone else’s boating mistakes.

“An alligator generally leaves you alone if you leave it alone,” said one biologist. “The boat launch dad actively seeks confrontation and is known to critique complete strangers before they’ve even put the drain plug in.”

The report found the animals become especially territorial when lines begin forming at the launch, with some specimens displaying aggression levels previously observed only during LSU football season.

Officials stressed that while encounters are rarely dangerous, residents should avoid making eye contact, backing down a trailer too slowly, or asking for help unless absolutely necessary.
