BATON ROUGE, LA – A Broadmoor man searching for relief from the growing number of Amazon delivery drones buzzing over his neighborhood reportedly ordered a package of industrial-strength earplugs Wednesday, only to have them delivered by an Amazon drone.
The resident said he became increasingly frustrated after hearing drones pass over his home throughout the day, eventually deciding something had to be done.
“I went on Amazon, found the highest-rated earplugs they had and ordered them,” he said. “About two hours later, I heard that damn thing coming.”
Neighbors said the drone could be heard approaching several blocks away before hovering above the man’s property and lowering the package containing the equipment specifically purchased to avoid hearing it.
The man immediately inserted the earplugs and reported they worked surprisingly well.
He has since ordered three additional packages.
All are scheduled for drone delivery.
