BATON ROUGE, La. – In a groundbreaking move to boost morale among Louisiana’s elected officials, Governor Jeff Landry has declared April as No Corruption Month, a period during which all bribery, embezzlement, and ethics investigations will be put on hold.

“We recognize that our public servants work tirelessly,” Landry stated. “It’s only fair they get a break from these constant witch hunts.”
The announcement was met with bipartisan relief, as numerous legislators were reportedly exhausted from dodging subpoenas. Several local mayors have already planned celebratory fundraisers at undisclosed offshore locations.
Critics argue that the move essentially legalizes corruption for 30 days, but Landry insists it’s “a much-needed reset” to allow officials to “regroup” before returning to business as usual.
Meanwhile, the Louisiana Ethics Board has responded by filing for a month-long vacation, stating, “If they’re not working, neither are we.”
