BATON ROUGE, LA – Entergy reassured a Perkins Road homeowner Monday that the massive utility pole installed outside his house would not interfere with his ability to see the massive utility pole installed outside his house.
“We’ve reviewed the sightlines extensively,” said an Entergy spokesperson. “Whether he’s looking out the front window, standing on the porch, or attempting to use the sidewalk, the pole is clearly visible.”
The company acknowledged the homeowner previously enjoyed a broader view but emphasized that the new arrangement offers a more consistent visual experience.
“Trees change with the seasons. Neighbors move. This pole provides the kind of stability our customers deserve.”
Entergy also defended its communication efforts, noting the structure itself serves as a prominent notification that a structure has been installed.
Officials said alternative locations were considered but rejected because they would have placed the pole somewhere else.
The homeowner was encouraged to submit any further concerns online, where Entergy offers an unobstructed view of his outstanding balance.
