CENTRAL, LA – Residents welcomed plans for REV internet service this week, expressing hope they will finally have a connection strong enough to inform Cox they do not have a connection.
“I’ve been trying to report this outage since March,” said one Central resident while shopping at the Central Surf Shop, pointing to a customer support page still loading on his iPhone. “Apparently, the first step in getting your internet fixed is already having internet so you can report it.”
Residents said they plan to use REV’s high speeds to upload screenshots of Cox’s spinning loading icon, access troubleshooting instructions and finally answer whether they have tried unplugging the router.
One neighborhood has designated a ceremonial first complaint, which will be submitted as soon as the new network becomes available. Families are preserving their original browser tabs so they do not lose their place.
Cox assured residents that while internet service remained unavailable, automatic billing continued operating at full speed.
