Governor Landry Accidentally Catches Beads at Spanish Town Parade, Declares It ‘An Attempted Bribery’

Jeff Landry Spanish Town Mardi Gras Beads Mad The Sadvocate Baton Rouge LouisianaBATON ROUGE, La. – Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry found himself in yet another controversy at the Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade after catching a string of pink beads—thrown by none other than The Sadvocate, Louisiana’s most infamous satirical publication besides The Advocate.

Landry, who was reportedly surveying the crowd for suspected leftist agitators and anyone failing to wear a MAGA hat, instinctively caught the beads before realizing where they came from. He immediately demanded a full investigation, accusing The Sadvocate of orchestrating a blatant bribery attempt.

“This Sadvocate guy has been trying to get me to appoint him as Fake News Czar for Louisiana since I took office,” Landry fumed. “Now he’s throwing beads to me? This is just another underhanded bribe if you ask me.”

A Sadvocate representative denied the claim, adding, “If we really wanted to get Landry’s attention, we would’ve thrown a job offer from Fox News.”

Landry’s team later confirmed he will only accept parade throws if they come in the form of tax breaks for oil companies.
