BATON ROUGE, LA – In what experts are calling a statistically impossible event, a local driver confirmed Monday that he successfully completed the LSU Lakes loop without once getting trapped behind a jogger, stroller, or a group of moms walking directly in the roadway.
The driver, who entered the loop expecting the usual slow crawl behind side-by-side walkers and inexplicably wide jogging formations, said he immediately sensed something was off.
“There was just… space,” he said. “I kept waiting for someone to drift into the lane or make eye contact like I was the problem. It never happened.”
The LSU Lakes loop, long considered less of a road and more of a shared social experiment, typically requires drivers to navigate unpredictable human patterns while maintaining the appearance of patience.
Witnesses report the driver completed the full loop without braking once, a feat that has already drawn interest from DOTD for a potential study or 12.
Officials reassured the public that several strollers have already been deployed to slow things back down.
