BATON ROUGE, La. – In a groundbreaking effort to preserve the city’s most frustrating experiences, Baton Rouge officials have opened the Traffic Congestion Museum, an interactive attraction where visitors can experience the joy of endless gridlock—without ever starting their engines.

The museum features a hyper-realistic I-10 simulation, complete with virtual brake lights, detour notifications, and a GPS voice that continuously recalculates your arrival time. Visitors can sit in a stationary car while AI-generated traffic reports provide false hope that things will “clear up soon.”

New to the exhibit this year: the Carjacking Survival Simulator, where guests must navigate a malfunctioning traffic light while dodging simulated car thieves. “We wanted to make it as immersive as possible,” said museum director Lane Stuck.
