NEW ORLEANS, LA – Louisiana Democrats have asked Pete Buttigieg to come to New Orleans and deliver a desperately needed message of change to a city that keeps electing the people delivering the desperately needed message of change.

Organizers say the former transportation secretary is uniquely qualified to visit New Orleans because he can identify the roads beneath its potholes.

“We need someone who understands how we got here,” said one party official, standing beside several people who got them here. “More importantly, someone who won’t dwell on it.”

The “No More Silence” theme will encourage residents to speak openly about local problems, provided they describe those problems as something Republicans did from somewhere else.

Attendees will hear how electing Democrats can finally unlock the potential of a city that has spent decades giving Democrats the keys.

Organizers considered holding the event beside a freshly repaired street but were ultimately unable to locate one within the city limits.

The evening will conclude with a renewed commitment to accountability, beginning with whoever picked the venue.
