BATON ROUGE, LA – EBR residents hoping to witness justice in action can now reserve their spots through Ticketmaster, thanks to a new partnership announced by the District Attorney’s office this morning. Following a widely circulated brawl at the 19th Judicial District Courthouse, officials say the demand for in-person courtroom drama has skyrocketed.
“Look, the voters didn’t approve our tax proposal last weekend, so we had to get creative,” said DA Hillar Moore. “This might not be a traditional funding model, but if two people want to settle a custody dispute with flying shoes, hair and about 25 F-bombs, we’re here to cash in on it.”
General admission starts at $29.99, with premium floor seats priced higher and requiring a signed injury waiver.
Ticketmaster confirmed the rollout includes dynamic pricing based on hostility levels and previous criminal records, with certain Family Court sessions now classified as “high-intensity events.”
Though some critics call it a “circus,” courthouse officials insist the new model promotes transparency and civic engagement. “We’re just giving the public front-row seats to the system they pay for,” said one courthouse spokesman.
The District Attorney’s office said season passes will be available soon, with full premium packages—featuring a two-night stay at the downtown Hilton and dinner for two at Capital City Grill—set to launch later this summer.
