Krewe of Brave Cave Set to Roll in Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade

Krewe of Brave Cave Spanish Town Mardi Gras Float - The SadvocateBATON ROUGE, La. – This year’s Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade will feature one of its most controversial floats yet—The Krewe of Brave Cave, a tribute to the city’s now-defunct police interrogation facility.

Organizers confirmed the float is built entirely from thousands of police reports that were never filed, documented, or turned in. It comes fully equipped with a makeshift interrogation room, broken surveillance cameras, and a stack of fake arrest warrants.

Anyone standing nearby when the float stops in traffic may be randomly selected for an involuntary body cavity search or a beat down from an officer. The 19th JDC has already prepared to make up fake charges for the officers and then immediately exonerate them without cause.

Former Police Chief Murphy Paul initially agreed to ride as Grand Marshal, and even appointed five Deputy Grand Marshals for no apparent reason, before abruptly backing out when Unfiltered With Kiran broke the news of the float’s existence.

Paul later told The Sadvocate he had no idea there was even a Brave Cave float, despite records listing him as a rider. Current Chief TJ Morse took over as fill-in Grand Marshal and assured us that the float would be swiftly decommissioned after the parade.

The parade rolls March 1st at noon in Downtown Baton Rouge.
