Landry Recall Campaign Sets High Bar for Government Efficiency by Spending Six Months Delivering Nothing

Organizers say a second effort could double their output. Volunteers want to know if that means twelve months.

BATON ROUGE, LA – Organizers of the failed effort to recall Governor Jeff Landry announced Friday that spending six months delivering exactly zero signatures has given them valuable insight into how Louisiana government could operate more efficiently.

“We did all of this without salaries,” a campaign spokesperson said. “Imagine what we could fail to accomplish with a budget.”

The campaign credited volunteers who sacrificed weekends, bought supplies and stood in Louisiana heat to achieve the same outcome as residents who remained inside binging Netflix.

Organizers stressed that success should not be measured solely by whether they completed the only task the campaign existed to perform.

“We raised awareness,” the spokesperson explained. “Mostly among volunteers who are now aware they should have gone fishing.”

Leadership also praised its streamlined approach to accountability, which eliminated the need to explain results by producing none.

Despite delivering zero signatures a second recall effort is being considered, with organizers promising to deliver twice as many this time.
