LSU Fans Leaving Tiger Stadium Early The Sadvocate

BATON ROUGE, LA – LSU fans who abandoned Tiger Stadium during the third quarter expressed disappointment that the Tigers failed to display the commitment necessary to finish a football game.

“You have to play until that clock hits zero,” said one season-ticket holder, checking the final score while pulling out of a parking lot on Burbank. “That’s what wearing those colors means.”

The man, who spent six days insisting Death Valley would make the difference, said the team appeared to lose its home-field advantage around the same time he decided to leave early in an effort to get ahead of traffic.

Other departing fans questioned whether today’s players understood LSU tradition, particularly the tradition of holding up four fingers before spending the fourth quarter locating their vehicles.

“We’re asking for sixty minutes,” said one man who arrived Thursday to establish his tailgate but found another twenty minutes in his seat unreasonable.

Fans agreed the players owed them a better effort, promising to address the issue loudly at next Saturday’s first half.
