WATSON, LA – Oak Point Fresh Market announced Monday that it has added a designated waiting area near the front entrance for husbands who arrive at the store and immediately forget what their wives sent them to buy.
The new area includes comfortable seating, phone chargers and improved cell service for men repeatedly texting, “Which kind?” while staring at 14 nearly identical products.
“We noticed the same guys standing near the entrance every afternoon looking completely lost,” said one Oak Point employee. “We figured they deserved somewhere comfortable to wait for clarification.”
The area also features a small help desk where employees can assist with vague instructions such as “the bread we always get,” “that cheese you like” and the particularly challenging “you know which one.”
Oak Point officials say future upgrades could include a refrigerated holding area for groceries purchased before the customer remembers the one item that prompted the trip.
Officials are also considering an express checkout lane for husbands who finally receive the text: “Never mind. I’ll get it tomorrow.”
