BATON ROUGE, LA – Local resident Scott LeBlanc has begun preparing to remain grounded should he be selected for the extraordinary privilege of purchasing tickets to one of the upcoming Savannah Banana shows at LSU.
“I don’t want this to change who I am,” said LeBlanc, who has already drafted a Facebook announcement thanking everyone who supported him throughout the application process.
LeBlanc has been rehearsing phrases including “We’re just incredibly blessed” and “Honestly, we never expected this,” despite registering through nine relatives and his company’s accounts payable department.
His wife confirmed the family has discussed how to break the news gently to friends who weren’t chosen.
“Some people will still be processing their disappointment,” she said. “We’ll probably wait twenty minutes before posting the matching shirts.”
LeBlanc, who has ignored three emails about his son’s failing math grade, said he refreshes his inbox every four minutes because “you have to stay on top of things that affect your family.”
If selected, he plans to use his platform to raise awareness about himself.
