LSU Fan Deletes 47 Posts Before Announcing He Never Lost Faith in Team

He never stopped believing. Several Facebook group administrators may remember it differently.

BATON ROUGE, LA – Following LSU’s 31–0 win over Mississippi State, Baton Rouge resident Brandon Fontenot spent Sunday morning deleting 47 Facebook posts before reminding everyone that real fans support their team through adversity.

“You can’t turn your back on these kids after one loss,” wrote Fontenot, moments after removing a Tuesday post suggesting several of those kids enter the transfer portal.

The cleanup included nine demands for coaching changes, a lengthy explanation of why the season was over, and a Marketplace listing offering his remaining tickets for “literally whatever.”

Fontenot described the previous week as a difficult time for the fan base, particularly those who lacked his perspective.

“I kept telling people to trust the process,” he said, scrolling past a screenshot of himself calling the process “an expensive embarrassment.”

By noon, his page contained only family photos, a crawfish boil, and a newly posted message criticizing bandwagon fans.

He then contacted the administrator of his LSU group to ask whether deleted comments remained visible to others.
