BATON ROUGE, LA – A CATS bus that clipped a school bus mirror on Goodwood Boulevard Monday morning reportedly left the scene after remembering it had outstanding warrants.
“I saw the lights and remembered I had somewhere to be,” the bus said. “Specifically, somewhere the po-po wasn’t.”
The bus said two warrants involved missed court dates and a third was sealed, “which I took to mean we were done talking about it.” CATS officials said they were unaware the vehicle had legal problems, though maintenance records show it had requested a lawyer during its last oil change.
Police said the bus had no passengers at the time, though three people at a nearby stop insisted they had been waiting for it since 2023.
