NEW ORLEANS, La. – As rumors swirl about Saints quarterback Derek Carr being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, fans across Louisiana are responding with overwhelming support — not for Carr, but for the idea of him leaving.

“Hell, we’ll throw in a two year’s supply of Popeyes if it seals the deal,” said local fan Reggie LeBlanc, already packing Carr’s things into a U-Haul parked outside the Superdome.
After a frustrating season of checkdowns, misfires, and soul-crushing third-down play calls, Saints fans appear more than ready to part ways. A GoFundMe titled “Send Carr to Pittsburgh (We’ll Pay)” has already raised over $18,000 — most of it from people in Metairie and Marrero.
“We wish him the best,” said Coach Kellen Moore, possibly lying. “Maybe a fresh start will help.”
Negotiations escalated when Saints fans included Taysom Hill in the offer: ‘He’s a quarterback on Tuesdays, a tight end on Sundays, and a part-time special teams ghost. You’ll love him.'”
Carr may not have delivered on the field, but in a way, he brought Saints fans together — mostly in group chats and on Facebook complaining about Carr.
