BATON ROUGE, LA – Local resident Melissa Landry demanded answers Wednesday after encountering a Facebook news post containing a headline, summary and link to a complete explanation of what happened.
“What happened?” Landry commented, directly beneath three sentences describing what happened.
Witnesses confirmed the information remained available throughout the incident.
“I’m not clicking all that,” said Landry, who had already clicked through 38 photos of a woman she vaguely remembered from high school.
After another commenter provided a detailed explanation, Landry responded, “Where was this?” despite the location appearing in both the headline and the explanation.
The exchange escalated when someone suggested she read the article.
“People are so rude these days,” Landry replied. “You can’t even ask a simple question.”
Landry eventually received a full explanation from her cousin, who read the article to her over the phone while she used that same phone to comment, “Finally, some answers.”
