BATON ROUGE, LA – Texas A&M officials confirmed Saturday afternoon that the school’s legendary 12th Man is running dangerously behind schedule after a “quick stop” at Ronnie’s Boudin somehow entered its sixth hour.
According to team officials, the 12th Man stopped around lunchtime for “one boudin ball and maybe some cracklins” before continuing toward Tiger Stadium.
That was six hours ago.
“He keeps texting us that he’s about to leave,” an A&M staffer said. “Then 20 minutes later he sends another picture of something he ordered.”
Witnesses say the 12th Man has consumed multiple boudin balls, two links of smoked boudin, a substantial amount of cracklins and something he described only as “worth being late for.”
Coaches reportedly sent the 13th Man to retrieve him shortly after 4 p.m., but he has also stopped responding to texts.
Texas A&M officials remain hopeful both men will arrive before halftime, although Ronnie’s employees confirmed they just ordered another round.
