BATON ROUGE, LA – Baton Rouge officials announced Monday that fall will officially be held Tuesday, with the annual season expected to last approximately 11 minutes before normal Louisiana weather resumes.
Residents are being encouraged to plan accordingly, as temperatures could briefly drop low enough to open a window, sit outside or wear a hoodie without immediately regretting it.
“We have a very limited fall window this year,” one local meteorologist explained. “Anyone wanting to drink coffee on the porch or mention how nice it feels outside should be ready to move quickly.”
Residents have reportedly begun locating jackets stored since February, while area coffee shops are preparing pumpkin spice supplies for the brief seasonal event.
Officials are also asking residents not to waste valuable fall minutes taking pictures of their dashboard temperature to post on Facebook.
Once the event concludes, Baton Rouge will immediately return to its regularly scheduled September weather of heat, humidity and wondering why anyone bothered putting the patio furniture back outside.
