Tiger Stadium Sells 41,000 Michelob Ultras, Sets New Record For Most Water Consumed At LSU Game

A lengthy weather delay helped LSU fans accomplish the unthinkable: consuming more water than ever before inside Tiger Stadium.

BATON ROUGE, LA – Tiger Stadium officially became the most hydrated place in Louisiana Saturday after LSU fans purchased more than 41,000 Michelob Ultras, setting a new school record for water consumption during a football game.

“Hydration is extremely important in this heat,” said one LSU official. “Fortunately, our fans consumed approximately 41,000 lightly beer-flavored waters.”

The achievement reportedly shattered the previous Tiger Stadium hydration record, which was set when somebody accidentally purchased two $9.50 Dasanis in 2019.

LSU said the total does not include approximately 60,000 additional beverages fans brought into the stadium themselves using boots, purses and several increasingly sophisticated concealment methods.

Following the record-breaking performance, LSU announced Michelob Ultra will replace Gatorade on the sidelines for Saturday’s game against Louisiana Tech.
