BATON ROUGE, LA – LSU’s reminder that drones are prohibited over Tiger Stadium has reportedly dealt a major blow to Amazon’s plans to deliver booze directly to the student section this football season.
Amazon recently expanded its drone delivery service to Baton Rouge, leading engineers to identify Tiger Stadium as an ideal market containing 102,000 customers unwilling to leave their seats for practically anything.
“We thought we had finally a problem that’s been plaguing the student section for 50 years,” an Amazon spokesperson said. “You order booze on your phone and six minutes later a drone lowers it directly into the vicinity of Section 229.”
LSU officials quickly clarified that Tiger Stadium becomes restricted airspace during games, regardless of Prime membership status or how badly someone needs a 5th of Smirnoff.
Amazon engineers are reportedly developing alternatives, including launching deliveries from Nicholson Drive with one of those T-shirt cannons.
Students immediately assured Amazon that bourbon logistics inside Tiger Stadium were already fully developed long before the company arrived in Baton Rouge.
