BATON ROUGE, LA – In what insiders are calling the most productive team adjustment all season, LSU women’s basketball Head Coach Kim Mulkey has reportedly offered to temporarily loan three players from her roster to the LSU Tigers men’s basketball following their latest humbling defeat.
Sources inside the PMAC say Mulkey made the offer calmly, confidently, and with the tone of someone who has watched enough.
“I’m not saying I’d start them,” Mulkey allegedly told administrators, “but I am saying they would box out.”
The proposal comes after LSU’s men were thoroughly handled by No. 21 Arkansas, prompting athletic department staff to quietly Google “how to legally merge two school basketball programs.”
Witnesses say several women’s players were quietly observing the action from across the arena, watching with the focused expression of people trying to understand how a defense can dissolve in real time.
Fans have responded positively to the potential crossover, noting that at minimum it would introduce “structure” and possibly “made free throws.”
Athletic officials have not ruled out the idea, though one spokesperson admitted the men’s team first needs to demonstrate they can execute a basic inbound play without causing three separate timeouts and a mild panic attack.
