BATON ROUGE, LA – Citing a busy November calendar, Louisiana voter Russell Boudreaux cast his ballot early Friday so he could begin expressing disappointment in the outcome before everyone else.
“I don’t want to spend election night standing around figuring out what’s wrong with this state,” Boudreaux said. “I’ve already got my opening remarks.”
Boudreaux left the polling location wearing an “I Voted” sticker and immediately informed his wife that nothing was going to change.
He has prepared separate Facebook posts for either outcome, both beginning with “Well, there you have it.”
The retired contractor said early voting gave him time to organize his concerns, identify which brother-in-law would need correcting, and rehearse saying “I tried to tell y’all” without sounding pleased.
Although his preferred candidate could still win, Boudreaux stressed that this would merely shift his complaint to how long it was taking to fix everything.
Boudreaux was last seen encouraging neighbors to vote early so they could join him in being completely fed up by Tuesday.
