BATON ROUGE, LA – With another year passing without any clear indication of when Fleur de Lis Pizza will reopen, Baton Rouge residents have reportedly begun passing stories of its return down to their children.
“My father told me Fleur de Lis was reopening, just as his father told him,” said local resident Michael Landry while sitting beside his seven-year-old son. “Now it’s my responsibility to make sure the next generation knows the prophecy.”
Hope is briefly restored every few months when the official Fleur de Lis Facebook page suddenly posts something, sending thousands of residents scrambling to the comments to ask the only question that matters: “WHEN ARE Y’ALL OPENING?”
The page then reportedly returns to silence for several more months, allowing the cycle to begin again.
Some parents have begun preserving these rare posts and screenshots so their children will have proof the reopening was once foretold.
“Will Fleur de Lis really reopen someday?” asked one child.
“Nobody knows, son,” his father replied. “But as long as they keep posting on Facebook, we have to believe.”
The boy reportedly promised to someday pass the story down to his own children.
