NEW ORLEANS, LA – Members of the “No Kings” movement took to social media early this morning to celebrate what they’re calling “a total victory for democracy,” after discovering that the United States continues to operate without a single king in power.
Protest organizers flooded X and Facebook with triumphant posts declaring the country “100% king-free,” crediting Sunday’s rally in New Orleans for “preventing the rise of a monarchy that never existed.” One viral post read, “We did it. No crowns. No thrones. No kings… still.”
Movement leaders say they’ll now shift focus to future campaigns, including “No Pharaohs” and “No Wizards,” meant to “protect the republic from any potential pyramid schemes or magical coups.”
Online celebrations included hashtags like #NoKingsVictory, #CrownControl and #MonarchFreeSince1776.
Officials declined to comment but confirmed that no members of royalty have been sighted in the French Quarter, adding that “the system seems to be holding steady.”
Experts say the group’s success sets a precedent for future activism against things that do not, and never have, existed.
