NEW ORLEANS, LA – While Saints fans spent the offseason arguing about the team adding more men to the dance squad, those same men now appear to be the only ones in the Superdome who can execute a formation.
During the preseason, the new-look cheer team built flawless pyramids and synchronized spins, while the offensive line looked like it was auditioning for interpretive dance, scattering in every direction after the snap. “People booed when they saw guys in the dance lineup,” one fan said, “but at least those guys can stay upright longer than our left tackle.”
Insiders say the coaching staff even clipped footage of the male cheerleaders’ routines to show the offensive line how teamwork looks in practice. “They may not block, but at least they don’t collapse after three seconds,” one assistant coach quipped.
At this point, Saints fans agree: the halftime show may be the only squad worth cheering for.
