ST FRANCISVILLE, LA – West Feliciana Parish President Kenny Havard has announced a new “Hands-On Leadership” tour, launched unofficially when he punched a resident during a dispute over a parish land deal.
The incident occurred after Chuck Spillman questioned why public land was sold for $500,000 before being flipped to a Canadian AI company for nearly $5 million. Havard allegedly responded by asking, “You calling me a thief?” before landing a punch, which earned him a citation for simple battery and a guilty verdict from a judge.
Despite video evidence, Havard insists he’s still focused on transparency, just the kind you can feel in your jaw.
The tour promises closer interactions with residents, possibly too close. Locals are encouraged to bring questions, helmets, and a good understanding of personal boundaries. The next council meeting has been rebranded as “Gloves Off: The Governance Experience.”
In a statement to press, Havard assured voters that “violence is never the answer” unless the question is “What happens when you ask too many questions?”
