LOS ANGELES, Ca. – After recently launching an inquiry into how she ended up in Ghana during a wildfire emergency, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has now announced a second investigation—this time, into how she became mayor in the first place.
“One investigation led to another,” Bass explained. “I started asking who authorized my trip to Ghana, and then it hit me—who authorized me to run an entire city?”
The mayor has directed her own administration to conduct a full review of the 2022 election, campaign finances, and voter decisions. “Somewhere along the way, a series of baffling choices were made. We need answers,” she added.
Critics have pointed out the absurdity of the situation, noting that Bass personally ran for office and campaigned for months. “If she needs an investigation to figure out how she got here, she might not be qualified to stay,” one frustrated resident remarked.
