BATON ROUGE, LA – Following growing confusion over its congressional endorsement process, the Louisiana Republican Party announced Sunday it has officially endorsed every Republican currently running for office, ensuring the party will once again proudly stand behind whoever wins.
Party officials said the expanded endorsement strategy eliminates unnecessary arguments over which candidate best represents Republican values while guaranteeing the state GOP can claim victory on election night.
“We looked at the numbers and realized our endorsement success rate could reach 100% if we simply endorsed everyone,” one party official explained. “Frankly, we’re embarrassed nobody thought of this sooner.”
Under the new system, candidates will no longer need to worry about securing enough support from party leadership. Every Republican who qualifies will receive an official endorsement, bumper sticker and congratulatory handshake.
Officials stressed that multiple candidates receiving endorsements in the same race should not diminish their significance.
“If six Republicans are running and we endorse all six, one of our endorsed candidates is almost guaranteed to win,” the official said. “That’s the kind of leadership Louisiana Republicans expect.”
